If there was ever a car in history that stands the test of time it would be Aston Martin. Driven by no less than James Bond, the Prince of Wales and those chosen few who understand that owning an Aston Martin is a life experience to be savored and enjoyed.
The beauty of the car has transcended itself since its inception in 1913. Founders Lionel Martin & Robert Bamford coming from racing backgrounds set out to build world class automobiles. Shortly after the formation of the company war broke out. The machinery to build the cars was sold to Sopwith Aviation to build airplanes for the war effort.
After the war the company was brought to life again and as they say the rest is history. What a history this car has enjoyed. Post war Bamford and Martin produced cars to compete in the French Grand Prix, with funding from Count Louis Zborowski, whose father was killed during a car race. The Count built a stable of his own racing cars. The Count would later in his life, tragically to lose his life in a car accident as well hitting a tree during the Italian Grand Prix. He saw greatness in Bamford and Martin early on and helped with much needed capital to restart Aston Martin.
Aston Martin has withstood the test of time failing in 1924 and again in 1925. Later in 1932 the company ran on hard times again. The 70’s would also prove to be challenging for the brand. Over the years the company has had suitors come calling when the company was in need. One steadfast common denominator is the car! Aston Martin in its gravest hours has seen car enthusiasts from aristocratic families to great industrialists save her from ruin. Each with the foresight the iconic car has embedded in the hearts of those who would come to her calling.
Today Aston Martin stands out in the luxury sports car market with the sexy line up of timeless machines celebrating a century creating the most iconic cars in the world. Crafted from a heritage the iconic DB still rains champion in the stable of available Aston Martin models available worldwide.
Aston Martin ownership is a stewardship of legend.
