Spring Cleaning your RV

It’s officially spring, and that means it’s time to get that winter road grime off of your RV for another camping season in the sun. But spring cleaning your RV doesn't just mean it’s time to clean your RV’s exterior, it’s also time to organize the interior of your home away from home. These simple tips will help you prepare your RV for an exciting and comfortable spring on the road.
Cleaning Your RV’s Exterior
Whether you were on the road throughout the winter or had your RV in storage, there’s no doubt the exterior could use a thorough washing. Start by rinsing off your RV from top to bottom, then use a wash mitt or brush with a soft head to clear the dirt and grime. A special bug and tar remover (Rain-X or Thetford) may be necessary if you've been traveling often. And when you’re finished clearing away the grime and giving your RV one more rinse, be sure to dry it with a squeegee or chamois.
Organize the Interior
Whether you’re traveling down the road or lounging at the campsite, much of your time traveling is spent inside your RV. Because RVs are so compact, it’s important to organize your RV often and do away with unnecessary clutter. Spring is the perfect time to remove all of the winter camping supplies from your RV, such as heavy-duty winter clothing, skis and any supplies you won’t use in the spring and summer seasons. This also makes room for items you will be using like beach towels and outdoor furniture. When you’re removing all of that bulky winter gear, you’ll probably find some other unneeded items you've been lugging around for seasons, and they can be removed too.
