Texas Events September

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes the festivals and events. September is heating up with some unbeatable events happening across the state, so fire up your RV and cruise to these three festivals you simply don’t want to miss.
Westfest
Head to West, Texas (yes, the town’s name is “West”) for the annual Westfest — one of the biggest Czech Polka festivals in the state. The event will take place on Labor Day weekend, and will feature the best in polka music, gifts and souvenirs, the Miss Westfest Contest, authentic Czech food and drinks, the Westfest 5K challenge, dance performances and countless other family-friendly activities. The event will take place at 1110 S. Main St., and there are a number of campgrounds located just seconds from downtown West.
Houston Hot Sauce Festival
Test your pallet this September at the Houston Hot Sauce Festival on Sept. 19 and 20. However, you don’t have to be a fan of spicy foods to fall in love with the event. The festival will feature tons of live music, arts and crafts vendors, fiery food vendors (and mild ones too), contests, eating competitions, fire eating displays, games, free face painting and tons of other family-friendly activities. This year’s event will be held at the Stafford Centre, just outside of Houston, in Stafford, Texas.
State Fair of Texas
The biggest of all Texas events this September is the annual State Fair of Texas. This year’s fair will take place from Sept. 25 to Oct. 18, so you have plenty of time to plan your September trip to Dallas. The event will features world-renowned live musicians, delicious fair foods (some from celebrity chefs), thrilling rides, kids activities, livestock shows, a car show, cook-offs a beer garden and everything you need to start your fall RV adventures off right.
And don’t forget to stop and see us right here at CCRV in Corpus Christi when you’re cruising throughout Texas in your RV this fall.
